Simon Cooper

Simon K. Cooper

Head Coach
Simon is an ASA Club Coach and Lifeguard and has been involved in competitive swimming for over 40yrs starting at Gloucester City SC under Coach Henri Meinike. From 2001 to 2013 as Head Coach of Cheltenham SWPC he coached swimmers to win medals and set records at County, District and National meets. Simon took over at GMSC in 2015 and has coached swimmers to various World, European and British titles and Club swimmers have also broken many European and British records in that time. Megan Hartery

Assistant Coach
Megan is a qualified Swim Teacher and lifeguard and started her swimming career at Gloucester City SC. Megan was a butterfly specialist and was a multi- event County Champion, represented the County on several occasions and won medals at District competitions. Megan currently also Coaches for Gloucester City SC and works as a Swim Teacher and Lifeguard at GL1.
Coach Craig Skinner

Craig Skinner

Assistant Coach
Craig has been coaching for 10 years, from new swimmers to national athletes, triathletes to open water swimmers. He has a level 3 in personal training. His aim is to help all swimmers and athletes to progress and reach their goals.

Tom Howells

Assistant Coach
Tom is now occupied as Level 2 swim teacher at Gloucester City Swimming Club (& Beaufort Sport Centre) where he is working towards his Level 3. He coached our club regularly since 2014 and continues to help us out on occasions. He is also a Level 3 personal trainer. Tom joined GCSC aged 8 years and went on to compete as a finalist at county, regional and zonal level. He was also club captain for 2 years.
Mutley

Anthony Davies aka "Mutley"

Assistant Coach
Anthony is a qualified Swim Teacher and Lifeguard and started his swimming career at Cheltenham SWPC. He representd GB Juniors in Water Polo and also competed at District level in swimming. Anthony currently Teaches in Cheltenham and runs his own Swim School.
