Don Leatherbarrow breaks 5 British Records!
Congratulations to Don Leatherbarrow, who broke 5 British Records last weekend!
Don swam at K2 Crawley last weekend (20th January), a long course meet held over 2 days.
He says: “It was very well run and the number of entries was prolific.
I entered 8 events, got 8 golds, but amazed myself by achieving 5 new British records along the way, in the 80-84 age group that I’ve just gone up to.
I did have a good meet but struggled a bit in a 50 metre pool to judge the pace in some races.”
In particular he is very pleased with his swims in the 50fly, breaking a record which has stood for 20 years, and in the 200I.M. where he beat the old record by 18 seconds.
